Representation

1. Teenagers/Young adults are depicted on a derelict gloomy rooftop. They are a variety of ethnicities (predominantly darker skinned). They seemed to be part of a gang or group of kind.
2. Stereotypes included are the violent tendencies, shown by the baseball bat. Also very fierce or rebellious behaviour, shown by the angry expressions on their faces.
3.  Preferred reading is that teenagers are dangerous and unpredictable, perhaps that they won't listen to authority and will get into trouble because of it.
4. Oppositional reading could be that teenagers are protective and defensive of their friends. Perhaps that they are ready to be adults in their own way.
